N.J. launches rape kit tracking system for sexual assault survivors

As reported by the Star Ledger, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin announced a new tracking system, funded by $2 million in federal grants will permit survivors to track so-called “rape kits” through the chain of custody. It will allow survivors to monitor case evidence without fear it has been lost in the system.
