Family Service League's Clinical Fellows Program is an intensive internship program centered on servicing clients and the practice of therapy. Interns are required to attend weekly staff meetings to discuss cases, review video footage, and engage in peer conversation on the practice of therapy. Interns are encouraged to hold a full caseload and seek weekly individual supervision for more personal, one-on-one learning.

In addition to seeing clients, interns are expected to engage in ad hoc conversations with colleagues, read articles on therapeutic interventions, and watch tapes of professionals and peers engaged in the practice of therapy whenever possible. The main goal of the Clinical Fellows Program is to guide and challenge new clinicians in their approach to good therapy as well as provide a service to the community.

  • “The clinical experience and intensive supervision that they receive is unparalleled. I often tell students that an internship at FSL is the equivalent of getting another graduate degree.”
