Family Service League is delighted to announce new grants to support the Essex County Rape Care Center from the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey, the Jewish Women's Foundation of New Jersey, and the State of New Jersey. New support for the counseling program has been provided by the Community Development Block Grant Program and the Junior League of Montclair-Newark and Family Service League's exciting new Mentor program is supported by a grant from Roche.

Ursula Liebowitz

Director, Essex County Rape Care Center

A graduate of the Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program at New York University, Ursula Liebowitz was a Rape Care Advocate in Union County before she founded the Essex County Rape Care Center in 2004. Ms. Liebowitz serves on the Board of the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NJCASA) and has appeared on numerous radio and television programs to raise awareness about the issue of sexual violence.
